Abia-born cleric, Bishop Silas Eke has vowed to vote for the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, during Saturday’s election.
Eke, in a chat with newsmen applauded Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s performance especially in the areas of rural roads construction, renovation of schools and health centres, youths and women empowerment.
He stated that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s performance is a clear indication of his uncontestable concern for the downtrodden and love for his people.
He disclosed that all members of his family and associate pastors would vote for the former Abia state governor.
He cautioned Abia North people to reject failed politicians who achieved nothing when they had the opportunity to serve the people.
According to Eke: “We must resist the temptation of reinforcing failure. Some people were there for twelve years with nothing to show for it. We now have a senator with the capacity, leadership dexterity, contacts to attract development to our Senatorial District. We must unite to reelect Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for the overall development of our district.
“The wonders he is doing in Abia North is visible even to the blind. We are talking about the construction of over 60 rural roads, renovation of schools across the Senatorial District, scholarships to our youths to study Medicine and Surgery in South America, empowerment to our 1000 youths and 540 communities in Abia North Senatorial District. This is unprecedented; my vote is exclusively for him,” he said.
