Four Important Things To Note In Supreme Court Judgement Over Deadline Of Old Naira Notes
1. CBN could not be sued at the Supreme Court in its original jurisdiction (may be that was why CBN was not made a party to the suit at the Supreme Court).
2. CBN by the CBN Act is an independent statutory body and does not take directives from any one including the FG.
3. The failure to join CBN (even though CBN cannot be joined to the suit at the Supreme Court) is fatal and achieves nothing as desired in the said order!
4. The New Naira Notes policy by the CBN stands!
