The teeming electorates of Obingwa wards 7, 9, 10, and 11 of Owoahiafo, Onicha Ngwa, Ntighauzo, and Abala, respectively, have pledged their total and unalloyed support for the Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, whose candidacy keeps growing by leaps and bounds in that part of Abia state.
The visitation of the APP governorship candidate to the wards twice, having visited them first during his tour at ABSIEC wards and now at the INEC level, was described by the voters of the four wards as unprecedented, with the people astonished that a governorship candidate could make time to campaign at the grassroots by himself without sending representatives.
On his part, Chief Kalu said his visitation to the wards twice is because of the love he has for the people and also an indication he is ready to work for them.
Prof. Osondu Akoma; Chief Kalu’s running mate; Hon. Israel Okwuonu, APP candidate for Obingwa East State House of Assembly Constituency; Comr. Eugene Chimaobi, APP L.G. Chairman of Obingwa; and a host of others were part of the campaign train yesterday.
