APP Guber Candidate, Mascot Uzor Kalu Mourns Prof. Ikonne

The Governorship Candidate of APP, Mascot Uzor Kalu has commiserated with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the death of its Governorship Candidate, Prof Uchenna Ikonne.

IGBERE TV had reported that Prof. Ikonne died on Wednesday after battling with undisclosed illness in Abuja.

 

In a statement obtained by IGBERE TV, the APP Governorship candidate described Prof. Ikonne as an erudite scholar and political counterpart that whom he was looking forward to debating with on how to better the lot of our dear state, amongst other candidates

According to him, “It was with a deep sense of loss that I received the news of the death of the Abia state governorship candidate of the PDP, Prof. Uche Eleazar Ikonne, whose death occurred in the early hours of today and was officially announced by his son, Dr. Uche-Ikonne Chikezie.”

” Prof. was an erudite scholar and my political counterpart that I was looking forward to debating with on how to better the lot of our dear state, amongst other candidates.”

” On behalf of my family, Campaign Council, I commiserate with his family members, both immediate and distant, and the Abia State PDP for such an irreparable loss, and may God grants his soul eternal rest.”
