Chelsea hero, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has blamed the club’s left-back, Marc Cucurella for their defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Thursday night.
According to Hasselbaink, Cucurella was the Blues’ weakest on the night, adding that the former Brighton star is a problem for his manager.
Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish came off City’s bench to produce the only goal of the night as the former tapped in from a fine assist from the latter to seal an important victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Spanish left-back has been heavily criticised for his involvement in the goal by English football pundits.
Hasselbaink noted that Cucurella really struggled against City and is a real issue for Graham Potter.
“He [Cucurella] didn’t have a really good game at all, he was the weakest link,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports.
“The weakest link was Cucurella and Man City acknowledged that.
‘It’s a problem.
