EPL: He gave hospital pass, not sure what he’s doing – Gary Neville criticizes Liverpool defender

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has criticized Liverpool defender Konstantinos Tsimikas for attempting to switch play to the opposite flank just before half-time during the Reds’ Premier League 3-1 defeat against Brentford on Monday night.

Neville said Tsimikas played a hospital pass over to Trent Alexander-Arnold, adding that he was not sure what he was doing.

An own goal from Ibrahima Konate gave Brentford the lead in the 19th minute.

Tsimikas tried to switch play to Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank in the 39th minute but failed terribly and allowed Brentford to intercept and get the ball into the box

However, it took a smart header from the Greece international to see away the danger, but Brentford scored from the resulting corner and eventually won the game 3-1.

“Correcting his earlier mistake because he played a hospital pass over to Trent Alexander-Arnold, not sure what he is doing,” Neville said about Tsimikas on Sky Sports.

“Brentford are complaining about the handball, and he just tries to switch the play.

“Rico Henry is in. And then they are in a bit of trouble
