The Abia state governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, has assured the people of his home local government, Bende, that he will improve on the achievements of his brother and correct his mistakes.
Chief Kalu, who described himself as a more experienced person than his brother when he assumed office, gave the assurance yesterday that he would correct the mistakes his brother must have made and improve on his achievements.
“I will correct my brother’s mistakes in any area where he made them and the mistakes of other past governors. I will improve on his achievements because I am more experienced than he was when he became governor.”
“The projects he started but were abandoned after he left office, I will continue with them and do more,” Chief Kalu added.
The APP governorship candidate further decried the infrastructural abandonment of Abia North Senatorial District for the past 16 years, saying it feels like development stopped in the district after his brother left office, noting that it would have been worse if his brother had not been a performing Senator that has attracted a good number of projects.
The APP tour train visited five ABSIEC wards yesterday: Umuhu, Nkpa, wards A and B, and Umuimenyi and Ugwueke/Ezeukwu wards, all in Bende LGA. In each of the wards visited, the people acknowledged that they benefited immensely from the administration of former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu and, therefore, pledged to vote for his brother, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu.
