Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu who was conspicously absent at the Arise TV presidential town hall meeting held last night ahead of the 2023 general election, was spotted at a birthday party holding close-by.
Recall that the town hall meeting hosted by the Arise News Channel in conjunction with the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) in Abuja, was attended by three presidential candidates, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso and PRP’s Kola Abiola, while PDP’s Atiku Abubakar was represented by his running mate Ifeanyi Okowa.
Shortly after the town hall meeting began, a video of him at the birthday party of his associate, retired colonel Sani Bello, some 6.4 km (an eight-minute drive) from the venue, was shared online.
Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign, Festus Keyamo, later released a statement, saying Tinubu can’t attend all events because he has a busy schedule.
