Joy has again come the way of Neni constituents in Anambra Central Senatorial District of Anambra State as their Senatorial representative, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Monday flagged off the equipping of the new Ultra-modern healthcare centre which she facilitated it’s construction with facilities worth N50 Million.

Prior to Monday’s exercise, the facility located in Anaocha Local Government Area had previously received a 30kva Power Generating plant provided by Ekwunife. As a follow-up Ekwunife procured additional facilities which include Furniture, electrical equipment, Medical equipment such as Incubator, Digital X Ray and scanning machines, among others.

The distribution team which was led by the Zonal Project manager, Hon Ify Chinwuko arrived at the newly erected facility located at St John’s Catholic Church, Neni, with trucks fully loaded with the numerous equipment.

Parish Priest of the Church Rev. Fr Peter Akaenyi along with other excited indigenes of the Neni community took delivery of the items.

In his appreciation message, the Parish Priest expressed his delight at the speedy pace at which Ekwunife erected the Healthcare edifice adding that the joy of the community was increased with the additional provision of health equipment.

“I was pleased to witness how quick it took the quintessential lawmaker to erect such edifice. We earlier received a 30kva Generator which was donated by her and now we are witnessing the delivery of other equipment. My parishioners and I are marvelously behind her as we will continue to support her in her bid to return to the senate” the excited priest stated.

Fr. Akaenyi further prayed that God will continue to bless and protect her, noting that her kind gesture is what it means to bring the dividends of democracy to the people, noting that she is replicating all she has done here in so many other communities all over Anambra Central Senatorial District.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, an indigene of the community, Mr. Onyeka Nwokeke expressed satisfaction over the provision of the numerous medical and electrical equipment, thanking the Senator for her love and care to her constituents.

Nwokeke asserted that the equipment will help in improving the healthcare of the people. He emphasised that Ekwunife’s good work speaks highly of her and that there is no reason why people won’t vote for her to return back to the senate.

Earlier on, the President of Catholic Youth Organization, St John’s catholic church, Comrade Frank Anizoba conveyed words of gratitude to Ekwunife for her assistance and kind gesture in providing medical and electrical equipment to the healthcare center she earlier built for the Neni Community.

He appreciated the lawmaker’s willingness to provide succour to the needy or other neighbouring communities also in need, Frank disclosed the resolve of the community electorates to ensure that Ekwunife returns to the senate come 2023.

In a brief remark Senator Ekwunife who was represented by Hon Ify Chinwuko told the jubilant gathering that her gesture is in continuation of her unalloyed investment into the health sector which would eventually help in providing succor to her constituents.
