A socio-political group, Grassroot Progressives Support Initiative, GPSI, has called for the immediate arrest and investigation of Chief Ikechi Emenike, and the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha for forgery and perjury, IgbereTV reports
The group asked Emenike to stop playing God over the leadership of the Abia State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the group, Ubani Godwin and Nze Onubogu respectively, GPSI alerted security operatives to investigate the activities of Emenike and Onyejeocha over their roles in forging the statutory delegates’ list of the party in the state.
The group further called the All Progressives Congress (APC) national level to immediately wield the big stick on the duo before they do further damage to the image and integrity of the party.
The group said, “Recall that the Leader of the party in the State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu had written to the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, forwarding the list of authentic statutory delegates from Abia State, including the position (s) they held and time they served.
“It is sad that Emenike and Onyejeocha had to forge the list with people totally strange to Abians. The list is fake, doctored and forged. These people are not known to Abians. We are alerting members of the Caretaker Committee, Security agencies and Nigerians to the evil plot by Emenike and Onyejeocha to destroy the Abia State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“We are calling for their immediate arrest and persecution for forgery and perjury. The authentic statutory delegates’ list is the one released by the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. Anything outside what Kalu presented to the national headquarters is fake, doctored and forged,” the group said.
