Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has filmed himself in a coffin while saying that he has quit acting ritual roles in movies, IGBERETV reports.
This is coming weeks after the Federal government and the general public blamed the movie industry for the recent increase in ritual killings in the country. They claim that young Nigerians learnt the act from movies with ritual scenes.
In reaction to the claims, Yul who became famous for playing ritualistic roles in movies insisted that hunger and poverty were responsible for the increasing ritual killings in Nigeria and not the movie industry.
In a short video shared on his Instagram page, the actor was seen in a coffin, on a movie set while he assured his fans and the general public that he is now acting romantic roles instead of rituals roles.
He captioned the video;
“Una say no more Ritual film abi?
no wahala.
I don enter romance, in my own way.
Una go hear am for my hand.
Take a look.”
