A former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar, on Thursday warned the Federal Government against increasing the price of premium motor spirit, widely known as petrol, IgbereTV reports.
Abubakar, gave the warning while speaking at the 19th Daily Trust Dialogue holding in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
It would be recalled that the National Economic Council had recommended that the price of petrol be pegged at N302 as against the current N162 per litre.
The new price of the commodity was expected to take effect in February.
