JUST IN: President Muhammadu Buhari received a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, a booster shot, today at the State House, Abuja, IgbereTV reports.
The President has assured Nigerians of the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness.
The Pfizer BioNtech vaccine was administered on him by his personal physician, Dr Suhayb Rafndadi.
The Executive Secretary Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib, spoke to State House Correspondents soon after the President took his jab, saying the President has again demonstrated leadership by taking the booster jab.
The Nigerian leader had taken his first jab of the vaccine on March 6 and the second jab on May 29, 2021.
