A professor of political economy and management expert, Pat Utomi, opined that Nigeria Politics has been reduced to State Capture, IgbereTV reports.
The political economist who was a guest on interview stated that Nigeria at the moment is not being governed.
Utomi said, ““Political parties do not have programs, do not have a direction to make any difference in people’s lives.
“The truth of the matter is that this is the most miserable place to live on earth today, all the statistics say so.”
“Today, we have overtaken India in terms of the total number of the world’s poorest people,” he continued.
It’s as though Nigeria is in several civil conflicts, according to Utomi, a founding member of the National Consultative Front (NCF).
“With all the killings every day, they are dying of insecurity; more people are killed in Nigeria every day than in most of the world’s biggest civil wars.”
He reeled off, “Today, we are dying more from Malaria than any other people in the world.”
According to him, the basis for this misunderstanding arises from the fact that Nigeria lacks a serious opposition capable of speaking alternatives and dealing with major concerns.
While stating that the country has gotten more corrupt since the election of this government, he also stated that discussions about major concerns must begin to fill socio-political areas.
