No circular in respect to spending November salary and delay in December salary - FG tells civil servants

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF) has rebuffed the statement credited to them in respect to spending November salary and  delay in December salary, IgbereTV reports.

Following the hard economic reality, a circular warning employees not to spend their November salary has been labeled as fake news.

According to the report, Civil servants have been asked to prepare for delay in their December salary and to exercise caution in spending their November salary.

In another development, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF) announced this on Thursday, December 9 in Abuja.
In a statement, the HOCSF’s director of communications, AbdulGaniyu Aminu, asked civil personnel to disregard it.

According to a report, Aminu warned civil servants and the general public to dismiss the contents of the false circular, describing it as the product of swindlers.

The signatory to the circular, according to Aminu, Dr. S. A. Adegoke, was not a member of the HOCSF’s staff, and there was no record of such an officer.

“Unfortunately, fake news has been published in some newspapers and on some social media sites without verification,” the communication director added.

“For the avoidance of doubt, it must be stated that the office at no time issued any such circular in respect of salary. ”

In a related development; In an interview with State House correspondents on Thursday in Abuja, Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, disputed the circular, stating President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration “takes the problem of salary payment more seriously.”

According to him, the Buhari government places a premium on the well-being of its employees, particularly the timely payment of their paychecks.
