Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, on Tuesday, paid a condolence visit to the former Chief Economic Adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, at his country home, Ovoko, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of the state, over the death of his mother, Irene Uzoamaka Ogbu.
Gov. Ugwuanyi who spoke during the visit condoled with Prof. Ogbu and his entire family over the irreparable loss.
The governor thanked top government functionaries, traditional rulers and stakeholders of Igbo-Eze South LGA who joined him in the visit, urging them to continue to remember the state and his administration in prayers.
Expressing delight at Gov. Ugwuanyi’s presence and turn out of people, the ex-Presidential Adviser harped on the need to promote the governor’s spirit of brotherliness and politics of inclusion, stressing that the visit was a demonstration that “there is respect in Enugu State” under the present administration.
