The leader of the indegeneous people of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Kenyan lawsuit filed last month was heard for the first time on tueday (today) in Nairobi. IgbereTv report.
The court gave Kenyan government 21 days to respond to the suit challenging the extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria.
Igberetv recall that Special Counsel to Kanu, Mr Aloy Ejimakor on September 14th said Kanu’s suit had been properly filed at the Kenyan High Court. Mr Ejimakor argued that since Kanu is a British citizen and entered Kenya with his British passport, he ought not to have been brought to Nigeria for any reason without valid court orders for his extradition.He said that Kanu’s fundamental human rights were grossly violated by those who masterminded his rendition to Nigeria, accusing the Kenyan Government of culpability.
IgbereTv learnt that the suit was filed on September 14 by Luchiri Associates, Kanu’s legal team in Kenya.
The next court hearing for the suit have been slated for 3rd November 2021.
