Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth has praised the resilient spirit of Nigerians as Nigeria celebrates her 61st Independence Anniversary, IgbereTV reports.
In an Instagram post he shared today, he wrote;
“Whatever you say about the Nigerian people, you cannot deny their resilience and never say die spirit. The rich and diverse culture of our people. The rhythms from our different styles of music as evidenced in our gradual stamp on the world music scene is a testament to the creativity of our people.
Our fashion is beautiful and keeps astounding the world.
We are optimistic to no end. No matter how low we get, our mantra remains “e go better”.
That we are celebrating our independence is no coincidence. It is hard to keep a Nigerian down.
