The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has moved to zone party’s 2023 Presidential ticket to the South.
This is coming after the Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, voted for the zoning of the party’s chairmanship to the North.
IGBERE TV correspondent gathered that the meeting of the PDP governors held on Wednesday at Akwa Ibom governor’s residence in Abuja, they voted 9-3 in favour of the north.
Sources closed to the PDP Governors informed Igbere TV correspondent that the party zoned the chairmanship of the party so that the Presidential ticket will be zoned to the South ahead of 2023 Governorship Election.
IGBERE TV reports that the party has been silent over where the party’s Presidential ticket will be zoned to ahead of 2023 election.
IGBERE TV reports that PDP governors who voted in favour of northern chairmanship are: Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), and Douye Diri (Bayelsa).
