While many corporate organisations will frown at colleagues getting married and remaining in the same workplace, the opposite applies in the entertainment industry, IgbereTV reports.

It is widely celebrated and a thing of absolute joy when celebrities marry their colleagues.

Here are 19 Nigerian celebrities who married their colleagues:

Olu Jacobs and Joke Silvia

These two Nollywood veterans have been married for 36 years and are blessed with two male children.

The power couple who have become enigmas in the movie industry met in 1981.

Olu Jacob noted he met Joke during the pre-production of a stage play in Nigeria a year after he arrived from England.

He saw her and had a connection as he got attracted by her look instantly and declared his intention to marry her openly.

Sunday Omobolanle and Peju Ogunmola

Renowned comic actor, Sunday Omobolanle aka Papi Luwe and his wife and actress, Peju Ogunmola, have been together for over three decades.

Papi Luwe used to work with Pa. Ogunmola, Peju Ogunmola’s father. Whenever they travelled all over the federation for stage play and were returning to Lagos, they always stopped at Pa. Ogunmola’s house.

According to Papi Luwe, he met Peju in her father’s house. She is the second wife of Sunday Omobolanle and they are blessed with four children, three from Papi Luwe’s previous marriage and one from Peju Ogunmola.

Norbert and Gloria Young

Veterans film stars, Norbert and Gloria Young, are undoubtedly one of the oldest celebrity couples in the Nigerian film industry.

The Young’s have been married for 19 years and are proud parents of three beautiful kids.

Richard and Jumobi Mofe Damijo

Top Nollywood actor Richard Mofe Damijo aka RMD married his heartthrob, Jumobi Adegbesan Damijo in 2000 after the death of his first wife.

Jumobi, before her wedding, was a former Africa Independent Television (AIT) presenter.

They are proud parents of five children and are regarded as one of the golden couples of Nollywood.

Zack and Ngozi Orji

The veteran actor, Zack Orji does not flaunt his family on social media is happily married to Ngozi Orji, also an actress and has played in some minor roles in the movies. She doubles as a makeup artist in the movie industry.

The talented actor met Nollywood actress and costumier, Ngozi Orji in the early 90s and they starred in the movie, “Deadly Passion”.

After appearing in the movie together, they started dating and later got married. They are blessed with three children.

Mide Martins and Afeez Abiodun

Nollywood actress and daughter of late Funmi Martins, Mide Martins, is married to Afeez Abiodun Owo who is also an actor.

Before the death of Mide Martins’ mother, Owo served as Mide’s manager. First, they became good friends, and then grew feelings for each other.

The couple has been married for 20 years are proud parents of lovely twin daughters.

Funke Akindele and Abdul Rasheed Bello

In 2016, Funke Akindele found love again after her first marriage crashed and married a music star, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz.

In early January 2021, Adesua and Banky W had a son named Hazaiah Wellington.

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham married Kolawole Ajeyemi who is also an actor in 2019 after her marriage with actor Adeniyi Johnson crashed in 2015.

They welcomed their first child together same year.

Seyi Edun and Adeniyi Johnson

Despite Adeniyi’s marriage crash with Toyin Abraham, the actor has moved on and married Seyi Edun in who is also an actress in 2018.

Adeniyi Johnson and Seyi Edun are no new faces, in the movie scene as they have both featured in several movies together.

Ibrahim Suleiman and Linda Ejiofor

Ibrahim and Linda appeared in the TV Series Tinsel and since then remained friends.
