The youths of Mbioto Ekpene Ituene, in Etinan local government area of Akwa Ibom have arrested a middle aged man along Mbioto – Ndon Eyo road stealing electric cables that power the street lights along the road, Igbere TV reports.
The suspect by name Attah ( Surname) withheld) is from Abak Ishiet in Onna local government area and claims to a tricycle operator.
According to the youth leader, Akparawa Johnny Daniel Nsekpong (Eto) information got to him in the wee hours of the day by vigilant youths who were returning from night wake keeping and he immediately mobilized more youths which led to his arrest.
A search in the bush led to the discovery of the cables.
It could be recalled that late last year similar incident happened in that same area which led to the arrest of youth leaders from Mbioto and neighbouring Nung Oku village.
