The vehicle that plunged into mining pit at Enyigba in Ebonyi State on Saturday has been recovered.
IGBERE TV gathered that the vehicle and dead bodies were recovered on Monday morning.
Speaking with Igbere TV correspondent, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, revealed that the party’s youth leader, Comrade David Ogochukwu Elem was among those inside the car.
Meanwhile, Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State has described the incident as “very terrible and unfortunate”.
The governor was at the scene of the incident in the company of Aliyu Garba, Ebonyi commissioner of police, and officers of other security agencies.
IGBERE TV gathered that the Governor who visited the mining site where the ugly incident happened yesterday came with functional crane and spent over two hours trying to get more divers to rescue the accident victims.
The Governor was also at the scene of incident this morning when the vehicle was recovered.
