The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday relaxed the restrictions placed on the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu following his abduction in Kenya by the Nigerian government, Igbere TV reports.

IGBERE TV had reported that Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court  adjourned the trial of Kanu to October 21, due to failure of the Federal Government to produce him in court on Monday.

Speaking after the court adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the lead counsel to Kanu, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor said his “client cannot only be visited by his lawyers, but relatives and friends, provided it is only two persons in every of such visit, on his  visiting Days. It is now an Order of the Court. Anybody within the above classification will be profiled by Our Head of Chambers.”

According to him, “we will activate the judicial process to ensure that the Court is granted a Fiat to hear this Case during the Court’s Annual Vacation that commemced today.”

“Our discrete  findings confirmed that  Our Client- Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not taken out of Abuja to an unknown destination. Kindly ignore the rumour mongers.  We will visit him again within the next 48 hours.”

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will regain his freedom  sooner than may be expected.”

“Victory will be ours at the end. It shall all end in praises.”

IGBERE gathered that Kanu was unable to appear in court due to ‘logistics reasons’. Presiding Justice, Binta Nyako refused to allow the trial commence in Kanu’s absence.

She also turned down requests from Kanu’s lawyers to transfer him from DSS custody to Kuje Prisons.
