Ebonyi State Government has reacted to alleged report that the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Engr Fidelis Nweze resurrected after he died in Turkish Hospital in Abuja.
IGBERE TV recalls that jubilation rocked Abakaliki and the residence of the dead Commissioner following report that he is still alive.
Reacting over the development, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Governor David Nweze Umahi, Mr Francis Nwaze said
people should stop spreading news that is not verified because it is inflicting more pain on those that are currently mourning.
According to him, “No picture evidence, no confirmation from the hospital or mortuary, why on earth should we engage in hearsay at this critical time?”.
“The state is still in a mourning mood.”
“Though it is a very hard pill to swallow but we have to accept the reality before us.”
IGBERE TV had reported that Governor David declared public holiday yesterday in honour of the departed Commissioner.
