Gov. Umahi, Wife Pay Condolence Visit To The Family Of Lieutenant General Attahiru (Photos)

The chairman of Southeast Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE and his wife, Chief Rachel Umahi have paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Nigeria Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru at their official residence in Abuja on Sunday,Igbere TV reports.

The Governor who was received by the wife of the late army general, Mrs. Fati Attahiru, described General Attahiru as disciplined and professional, and further explained that he neither knows tribe nor segregate.

 

He described the death as shocking and deep but God cannot be questioned at this time.

He assured the wife and immediate family members of a continued relationship and possible assistance.

His words: “By our religion and your religion, we always have to submit to God.

“He was a nice man, very disciplined and professional and does not know tribe.

“It is shocking and deep but no one has to question God

“I deeply sympathize with you for this loss. We will stand with you at all times.”

The late Chief of Army Staff died on May 21, 2021 while travelling on a Nigerian Air Force Beechcraft King Air 350 on an official visit to the northern state of Kaduna at the age of 54.

Governor Umahi had sent his condolence message immediately after his death before this condolence visit.
