About 200 children have been reportedly abducted by bandits during an attack on an Islamic school in Rafi LGA of Niger state, IgbereTV has learned.
The bandits were said to have invaded the school located at Tegina on Sunday evening.
It is not immediately clear how many students were taken hostage, but according to TheCable, the bandits operated for hours unchallenged.
They reportedly arrived in their numbers on motorcycles around 4.30pm and started shooting sporadically into the air.
This latest abduction comes hours after abducted Greenfield University students were released after their parents reportedly paid N180m to the bandits.
