Unknown gunmen have attacked the Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abia State.
IGBERE TV gathered that the unknown gunmen stormed the INEC Office in Ohafia and set building ablaze without any encounter with the security agencies.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with IGBERE TV correspondent on the condition of anonymity, the unknown gunmen also destroyed a newly constructed borehole in the office.
IGBERE TV recalls that one policeman was wounded in the leg on Sunday when unknown gunmen attacked Mike Okiro police station near Ubani Ibeku Main Market Umuahia.
The invasion of the police station resulted in panic in the capital city when the news filtered in as some churches ended their service abruptly to enable their members go home.
Residents most of whom were already out of their homes hurriedly scampered for their homes to avoid being caught in the crossfire as tension mounted.
