There is somewhat disquiet in the Presidency over the date the president is expected back from the United Kingdom.
President Buhari, who left Abuja on Tuesday, 30 March, 2021, for a routine medical checkup, is expected to return this week.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had in a statement penultimate Monday specifically announced the arrival period to be the second week of April 2021.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of April 2021”, the statement read.
However, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, tried to evade the questions that seek to know the exact date Nigerians should be expecting their president this week.
“Today is Wednesday and this week ends on Saturday so what’s the big issue in that one?” Mohammed told State House reporters after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The Minister said the governement was currently more concerned with issue of insecurity rocking the country.
