As part of her resolve to strengthen the party in the State, Imo PDP will be inaugurating statutory standing committees today Thursday 8th April, 2021.
According to a Press Release by the party’s Secretary, Hon.Nze Ray Emeaña, and made available to IgbereTv, the inauguration will be at the party’s state Secretariat, 98 Okigwe Road Owerri as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State inaugurates members of the 12 Statutory Standing Committees, comprising reputable leaders and members of the Party. Time of commencing the inauguration is stated as 9:00 am.
Continuing, Hon. Emeaña informed that “this is one of the policy decisions to rebuild the Party and consolidate it to rebuild Imo State.”
According to the statement, the Committees to be inaugurated include: Elders Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Finance Committee, Recruitment, Mobilization and Contact Committee, Women Mobilization Committee, Youths Mobilization, Talent, Opportunities and Employment Committee, Foreign/Diaspora Committee, Media Committee, New Media Directorate, Support and Volunteer Committee and Non Indigenes Committee.
The statement informed that the Chief Host at the inauguration will be the State Chairman, Engr. Charles C. Ugwuh, OON, with Distinguished Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi as Guest of Honour, while His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON will be Special Guest of Honour.
There’s no doubt that the inauguration of the Committees will enhance the activities of the Party in the State, and position for another landslide victory in future elections.
