Gunmen in military uniform have stormed Oshiagu Amia Ngbo in Umuogudu Akpu Ngbo Community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and abducted the village head, Deacon John Ulebe Nnaji.
According to report, four other persons were abducted alongside the village head.
A member of the community, who does not want his name in print, disclosed that they were seated at the village square, when the gunmen, who were on motorcycles, stormed the area and abducted the five people.
He said, “We suspected nothing because they were wearing military uniform.
“All of a sudden, we heard gunshots and people started running for safety.”
He added that many of the villagers were robbed of their belonging during the attack.
As at the time of filing this report, the police in the state said they were investigating the matter.
