A Professor of statistics and the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Professor Francis Ogbonna Otunta, has died.
IgbereTv was reliably informed that he died early this morning when the car he was traveling in was involved in a fatal accident.
The late Professor just exited from office as a Vice Chancellor just last month and was reputed to be responsible for some innovative turnarounds in that citadel of higher learning.
Significantly, he was the returning officer for the 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo State that declared Rt.Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP as duly elected governor of Imo State.
