The Governor of Ebonyi State and Chairman Southeast Governors’ Forum, Engineer David Umahi has commiserated with the good people of Eziukwu Amaizu, Afikpo North Local Government Area over the unfortunate death of their son, Flying Officer Michael Okpara during the ill-fated Nigeria Airforce Beechcraft King Air 350 air crash in Abuja some days ago.
In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, the Governor who was deeply saddened by the incident extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Flying Officer Michael Okpara, Ebonyians, colleagues of other departed crew members and the entire Nigeria nation.
He called for immediate investigations into the cause of the crash to avert reoccurrence.
Governor Umahi prayed to God to console the bereaved families and nation and grant the souls of the departed rest in his bosom.
