Father of the Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Mr. Uduma Chima Ibom has gloriously joined his ancestors.
IGBERE TV gathered that he peacefully died on the early hours of today the 3rd of February, 2021 at about 2:00a.m of a natural cause.
Aged 99 years, the late Uduma was a great teacher, grassroots politician and a clan Leader who distinguished himself in intelligence, honesty and selfless service to God through service to humanity.
He was also a renowned historian and blacksmith and an upright man known for his resilience and truth at all times.
People of the great Edda Okeigbo clan will remember him for his very popular admonition; “Okeremba Okeghi mba – meziokwu dikwari ifoo”.
He is survived by his elder sister, Nnem Alama Chima, two wives, children and a host of other relations including Hon.(Barr.) Eni Uduma Chima Ph.D, the Executive Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government Area and two-term member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly who represented Afikpo South West Constituency between 2007 to 2015.
A statement by Hon. Eni who confirmed the demise of his beloved father informed that his burial arrangements will be announced later by the family.
