Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael, has declared his interest to contest for the gubernatorial election of Anambra State slated for November 6th, 2021, for the successor of Governor Willie Obiano.
IgbereTv exclusively gathered that he will be standing for the primaries of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party.
The power tussle is expected to be between the three topmost parties of APGA, APC and PDP.
Recall that INEC has fixed November 6th, 2021, as the date for the conduct of the Anambra State governorship election. Constitutionally and statutorily, the tenure of the present governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, will expire on March 17th, 2022.
The 36 year old Zubby Michael’s political career began when he was appointed by the present governor of Anambra State, as a Special adviser on media on 25th November, 2019. He is now determined to become the successor of his boss.
The youths are now clamouring for position of leadership from the old folks that are not willing to leave the seats across the country. Just like the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, recently stated, the youths must wake up and take the political baton from the older leaders.
