The Imo State government on Monday, took a swipe at former governor of the state and currently the Senator of Imo-West district, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, by saying that he is a mad dog.
The commissioner for information and strategy, Honourable Declan Emelumba, accused the former governor of squandering the state resources within the eight years he held sway as the governor of the state.
Emelumba said that Okorocha was “a mad dog and irredeemable for his failure to apologise to Imo people for running the worst form of government since the creation of the state in 1976”.
He said, “his government was an unmitigated disaster and the worst since Imo State was created. It was not a surprise that a judicial commission of inquiry indicted him over a #106 billion contract sum that disappeared into thin air under his watch”.
The information commissioner was reacting to a statement issued by Okorocha’s office after a warehouse belonging to him was invaded by the state government and items of the state recovered.
