The married woman allegedly raped by her husband’s friend at Mgbuitanwo in Emohua LGA of Rivers State, has cried out for justice to be served in the matter.
Mrs. Believe (surname withheld), a native of Akwa Ibom State, claimed that a certain Ogechi Uchendu, a friend of her husband’s and a native of Emohua LGA, raped her on the evening of January, 13th 2020.
According to her, the accused visited their home and claiming to seek her husband, who was not around at the time. After giving her a bunch of plantain he brought with him, he grabbed her threatened to kill her if she didn’t allow him to have carnal knowledge of her. When her pleadings felled on deaf ears, he raped her on the floor of the corridor.
However, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Nnamdi Omoni, a superintendent of police confirmed the incident and informed this reporter that investigation was ongoing.
