Gov. Umahi Congratulates New AE-FUNAI Vice Chancellor; Wishes Him Fruitful Tenure

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engineer David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE has congratulated Professor Sunday Elom on his appointment as the third Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ikwo.

In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Umahi while commending President Muhammadu Buhari for considering the agitations of indigenous workers of the University in the latest appointment, expressed optimism that Ebonyi has offered one of its finest to upgrade the Institution considering his vast experience as former Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and over 14 years of post professorial and uninterrupted academic and administrative experience in the university system.

 

While describing Professor Elom who is the first indigenous Vice-Chancellor of the Institution as a thoroughbred and seasoned academic, Governor Umahi assured President Muhammadu Buhari and the AE-FUNAI Community that the new VC in line with the Ebonyi trademark of hardwork would take the Institution to next level as he wishes the brand new Vice-Chancellor a successful and fruitful tenure.
