Governor David Nweze Umahi has commended the people of Uburu for not interfering in his leadership as Governor of the State, Igbere TV reports.
The Governor made the commendation during the 2020 Uburu day at his country home.
Governor Umahi while charging people in authority to always impact in the lives of their subjects also advised those charged to execute Government projects to do so in quality.
“We have come up with a template for effective leadership in Ebonyi State which are equity, fairness and justice and no one has the capacity to change it, I love my people, I love Ebonyi people, anytime I am at home, I eat outside, if I am in Abakaliki, I eat outside, every body in Government has got something to give”
The Governor while announcing that the new Medical School in Uburu will take off before the end of March, also said efforts were on to ensure all round water supply and electricity in the State soon.
Leaders of the Community Eze Lazarus Umahi Ph.D and Dr Daniel Umezuruike thanked Governor Umahi for the massive infrastructural development in Uburu and restated their readiness to continue supporting his administration.
High point of the event was the presentation of Governor Umahi’s statue as produced by Mr. Stephen Umahi, a beneficiary of Governor Umahi’s Scholarship programme as well as cultural dances.
The Governor earlier received a delegation of Isuokoma Community led by Chairman of Onicha LGA, mr Felix Igboke who assured of their unflinching support to his government.
The Governor thanked the people for their goodwill and pledged to continue accommodating them in their governance.
