Senate Chief Whip, Kalu Celebrates Late Father Ten Years After

Igbere, a historic town in Abia state, South East, Nigeria , will again, play host to political gladiators, top business executives, traditional rulers, diplomatic community, high society celebrities, the media, academia and others, as former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, celebrates the 10th year anniversary of his father’s ( Chief Johnson Uzor Nesiegbe Kalu) passing on to eternal glory.

IGBERE TV reports that the late Chief Kalu, who was a community leader and statesman, was known for his humility, integrity, large heart and selflessness.

 

Although, the late Chief Kalu was buried immediately he passed in 2010 based on his instruction , which he emphasised during his lifetime, 10 years after all roads will lead to the Pavilion at Camp Neya, the Igbere country home of one of the deceased’s sons, Senator Orji Kalu, who alongside his brothers, Hon. Nnanna Kalu and Hon. Mascot Kalu, are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a historic, remarkable and memorable remembrance celebration for their late patriarch.

Senator Kalu, a key figure in the business and political circles across the globe, has reached out to family, friends, political and business associates, many of whom, are looking forward to grace the occasion.

According to the event managers, deployed to put in place all necessary arrangements that will suit the creme -de-la- creme guests that will honour the Kalus’ at the grand occasion, the ceremony will be coordinated in line with COVID -19 regulations of the federal government.

Speaking with newsmen , Chairman of the Planning Committee of the event and former Member of House of Representatives, who is also a son of the deceased, Hon. Nnanna Kalu, stressed that the epoch making event, will be evergreen in the minds of the people as all hands are on deck to ensure a joyous and hitch-free ceremony.

The historic event billed to commence at 12 noon on Sunday, December 27, 2020, will be place Igbere town onto world stage, as dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to grace the occasion as a show of love and support for Senator Kalu, who is known to honour family, friends and associates with his physical presence at events.
