Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Friday, expressed his deep sympathy to “his brother, Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde over the death of his mother, Chief Mrs. Abigail Makinde in the early hours of Thursday at 81 years.”
In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by Umahi’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Francis Nwaze, Governor Umahi noted that it is an uncommon feat to have attained such a glorious age even as she watched her son become a Governor. He further explained that testaments abound that she played the role of a pillar and a stabilizing force in not just the family but her community as well.
Governor Umahi urged him to take consolation in the many transformative impacts of hers in several lives while she was alive.
