Nigerians have taken to social media to blast Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, for donating N100 million for the renovation of Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace that was vandalized during the #EndSARS protest in the community.
The monarch’s palace was attacked by residents of the community after he was accused of doing nothing concerning a student identified as Jimoh Isaiq who was shot dead during the #EndSARS protest last Saturday, October 10.
IgbereTV reports that Governor Makinde visited the monarch on Tuesday, October 13, and announced a N100 million donation towards the renovation of the palace and N1 million to families of those killed during the protest.
Nigerians on social media are blasting the governor for donating such a whooping amount of money towards the renovation of a palace while giving the bereaved families N1 million only.
