African-born wonderkid, Ansu Fati becomes youngest player to play for Spain since 1936

African-born wonderkid Ansu Fati has written his name in the Spainish history book after he made his debut for La Furja Roja on Thursday.

The 17-year-old came on at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Germany, becoming the third-youngest debutant in Spain history.

Overall, he is the 800th player to don the iconic Spain shirt and the first born in Guinea-Bissau.

Ansu is 17 years and 308 days, he became also the youngest player to make their first appearance for Spain in 84 years.

Only Pedro Regueiro, who debuted at the age of 17 years and 161 days in 1927, and Angel Zubieta, who was 17 years and 282 days on his debut in 1936, were younger than Fati.

The FC Barcelona starlet even had the ball in the back of the net in the 92nd minute, but it was ruled out after Sergio Ramos had committed a foul in the build-up.
