The Chairman of Abia Crusaders Foundation Hon Prince Emeka Okafor has congratulated Rt. Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere on his emergence and subsequent swearing in as the Chairman of Abia State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Speaking with IGBERE TV correspondent after a consultative meeting with leaders of the organisation from the 17 Local Government Councils of the state, Prince Okafor assured the new PDP chairman of the support and partnership of Abia Crusaders in the task of stabilizing the party at the grassroots.
He revealed that Abia Crusaders Foundation is “a grassroots socio-political movement initiated by a founding member of PDP Prof Gregory Ibe to mobilise Abians at the ward,LGA and state levels to identify with the policies of government”.
Prince Okafor,who is a major stakeholder of PDP from ward 10 in Lokpanta, Umunneochi LGA reiterated the willing disposition of Abia Crusaders Foundation to partner the new State Working Committee in realising the objective of ensuring party cohesion and thereby assist in driving down the policies of government to the grassroots.
It will be recalled that Rt.Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere was recently inaugurated as chairman of Abia PDP following his victory at a keenly contested electoral Congress in which Hon.Prince Emeka Okafor participated as a state delegate.
