The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, on Thursday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the entire management of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority for the novel and time- appropriate vision of choosing and locating an ultra-modern Diagnostic Centre at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Abia State.
Senator Kalu, in a statement sent to IGBERE TV from his office said the ultra-modern Diagnostic Centre is a needed infrastructure provided at the right time.
He further said that one of the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic was the revelation and focus on Nigeria’s decrepit health care system- that a project like this seems to begin to address.
The Statement Reads;
