The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Olawatoyin Ogundipe, has been sacked by the governing council of the institution.
His removal was announced on Wednesday during a meeting of the Governing Council of the institution which held at the National Universities Commission (NUC) building in Abuja.
Igbere TV gathered that the meeting was presided over by Pro-Chancellor of the University, Dr. Wale Babalakin, SAN.
Seven members voted for the removal of Ogundipe as UNILAG VC, while four voted against it.
One member voted that he should be suspended.
