Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has appealed to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry Abia State along in the on- going nation- wide distribution of fertilizers and other farming inputs, Igbere TV reports.
Speaking through the Special Adviser To The Governor, Dr. Iboko Imo Iboko, the Governor noted that it was always very impressive and heart- warming to see the Federal Ministry of Agriculture distribute fertilizers and other inputs to farmers across the length and breadth of the country, but wondered why Abia State farmers were yet to benefit from this good gesture.
He therefore appealed to the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono, to put Abia State at the forefront of States that would benefit in the next round of this worth while exercise.
The Special Adviser vowed to go back to the Ministry to continue to push the case of Abia State.
