Suspected Boko Haram terrorists, Wednesday, attacked the convoy of Borno state governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum in Baga area of the state.
Igbere TV gathered that the governor was traveling to an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp when the incident occurred.
There were reportedly no casualties in the attack. This is the second time that Zulum’s convoy has been attacked in less than a year.
The attack comes three months after Ali Modu Sheriff, a former governor of the state, was attacked by the sect along Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway.
At least five persons including three policemen were killed in the incident.
