Prof Gregory Ibe commiserates with Gov. Ikpeazu over the death of Onuigbo
Prof Gregory Ibe in a statement on Tuesday has commiserated with the Abia state Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu over the death of the State Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Johnson Onuigbo, IgbereTV reports.
Prof Gregory disclosed that the news came to him as a shock as he described the late Chief Onuigbo as a calculated and deft leader who used his position as Chairman to foster peace and harmony within the Abia political class, thereby creating in the process, a conducive environment for the successful conduct of governance without undue interferences, and free of rancour and acrimony.
He also prayed to God to grant the family, the state and country the fortitude to bear the loss.
“It is my earnest prayer that the good Lord will, in His soverign benevolence, grant the soul of our departed leader eternal rest, as well as release grace, first to his immediate family, the state and the entire nation, to bear this irreparable lose with fortitude and equanimity,” Prof Gregory said.
