IgbereTV reports that a 31-years-old man has been sentenced to 9 years in prison with hard labour and no option of fine, for defiling a 7-years-old girl in Igarra, Akoko-Edo, Edo state.
Sunday Akpeji who raped the girl in Igarra, Akoko-Edo, Edo state on 19th August, 2019 was convicted and sentenced on Tuesday July 21, 2020.
The news was made available to IgbereTV on Tuesday by Priscilla Usiobaifo, the Executive Director of Brave Heart Initiative (BHI) who represented the 7-years-old girl in court.
