The Abia State Police command has arrested sergeant Chinatu Onyema, who killed two people in Aba, Abia State two weeks ago, IgbereTV reports.
Last week, Onyema was declared wanted by the State Police command. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state Mr Geoffrey Ogbonna, told our correspondent on Monday that he was arrested on Saturday in Akunakpu village within Isiala Ngwa police division.
He said that the suspect is currently facing orderly room trial after which he would face prosecution in Court.
The officer with force No. 461624 who was formerly attached to the department of operations in the state Police headquarters in Umuahia, was on a special duty at Crunchies Fried Chicken Ltd in Aba.
IgbereTV gathered that he shot the deceased people on constitution crescent road when he went without authorization to attend to a distress call by a driver with Crunchies Fried Chicken Ltd identifed as Njoku Uzoma.
